Muirlands

Muirlands sits on the western flank of Mount Soledad, between the Village below and the top of the hill above. It was master-planned in the 1920s by the Muirlands Company on land assembled from John Muir's nephew, and it shows: the curving streets, generous lot sizes, and mature eucalyptus and Torrey pine canopy give Muirlands a parklike feel that's distinct from anywhere else in La Jolla.
