The Artist and the Art: A BRE SteamFest Recap at Bird Rock Elementary, La Jolla

Join John McGuinness of La Jolla Property Group at Compass Real Estate as he recaps the BRE SteamFest at Bird Rock Elementary in La Jolla, CA — a fun-filled community event where kids created amazing spin art masterpieces and made unforgettable memories!

There is something truly special about watching creativity come to life right before your eyes — and that is exactly what happened at BRE SteamFest last Wednesday, April 29, at Bird Rock Elementary School in La Jolla, California!

The energy at the event was electric, and it was incredible to see so many young minds engaged, inspired, and having the time of their lives. From the moment we set up our booth, it was clear that this was going to be a memorable day in the heart of the La Jolla community.

One of the highlights? Watching the kids dive into spin art — a splash of color here, a spin there, and just like that, a masterpiece is born! 🌀💜 The excitement on their faces as they saw their artwork come together was truly priceless.

I had so much fun being part of it all that I honestly did not get to take as many photos as I would have liked — but I was too busy soaking in every moment! What I do have are great memories and this beautiful piece of spin art to show for it. 🎨

Most importantly, the kids absolutely loved it — and that made every moment worth it! Seeing their joy and enthusiasm reminded me why community events like SteamFest matter so much. It is not just about real estate — it is about being present, connected, and contributing to the La Jolla community we love.

Here is to more events, more art, and more moments worth celebrating! 💛
