Day 2 of #OpportunityKnocks: 30 Doors, 5 Conversations, and a Surprise Stop in Bird Rock, La Jolla
Day two of #OpportunityKnocks reminded me why consistency is everything in real estate.
Some days will feel ordinary. Some days will surprise you. And sometimes, one door ends up having a story far bigger than you expected.
30 Doors Later
On Day 2, I pushed myself to go further. I knocked on 30 doors—almost double my first day. Not every door opened, and that’s part of the process. But five homeowners did.
And those five conversations? That’s the real win.
Because this is what building a real estate business actually looks like:
-
Showing up even when it’s uncomfortable
-
Starting conversations with strangers
-
Learning about the neighborhood firsthand
-
Staying consistent even when results aren’t immediate
This isn’t the glamorous side of real estate people see on social media. This is the foundation.
A Door With a Story
One of the most unexpected moments of the day happened on Chelsea Street, La Jolla.
One of the homes I stopped at turned out to be the famous house featured on The Real World: San Diego.
That was one of those moments where you realize how much history and personality exists behind every door in La Jolla. Every house has a story. Every homeowner has a journey. And sometimes, you just happen to knock on a piece of pop culture history.
What Day Two Reinforced
Day Two taught me something important:
Momentum builds when you commit to the process.
Thirty doors may just be a number. Five conversations may seem small. But stack days like this over weeks, months, and years—and that’s how a real estate brand gets built.
Not overnight.
Not by luck.
But through repetition and consistency.
The Real Strategy: One Door at a Time
People sometimes ask what the secret is to growing a real estate business. There isn’t one trick.
It’s this:
Show up. Be consistent. Have real conversations. Repeat.
That’s what #OpportunityKnocks is about. Not shortcuts. Not hacks. Just the long game of building trust within the community.
The Road to 10,000 Doors
Day 2 is complete:
-
30 more doors knocked
-
More new connections
-
More local knowledge
-
More momentum
And tomorrow, it continues.
Because 10,000 doors doesn’t happen all at once. It happens one conversation, one street, and one day at a time.
If you see me around Bird Rock or anywhere in La Jolla, feel free to say hello. This journey is about more than business—it's about becoming part of the community I serve.
Follow along as #OpportunityKnocks continues.
